Our mission:
To provide accessible and cost transparent primary care within the context of our patients’ lives.
Our vision:
For all people to have healthy, dignified lives and life transitions
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative healthcare model where physicians partner with their patients to provide primary care services under a flat monthly membership fee. DPC practices bypass the administrative burdens of the traditional insurance-based billing system, and this makes it possible for us to provide a wide spectrum of care in a transparent, affordable manner.
DPC practices offer patients a higher level of service, communication, and relationship than typically found in our health care system.
And, DPC is not just good for patients. It allows primary care physicians to discover their full potential and joy in practicing medicine.
Why are we called “Dandelion” Health?
Dandelions thrive in disturbed land near where we live, work, and play. This plant is often treated like a weed, which many people try to control, eliminate, and prevent from growing. What is so often overlooked is the beauty, resiliency, and nutritional contents of this beautiful plant.
Primary care has had a similar experience as dandelions. Insurance companies, health care systems, and policy makers have under-appreciated and under-funded primary care for far too long. This has driven this multifunctional and essential service to the periphery of many people’s lives.
Here at Dandelion Health, we are re-awakening the connection between people and primary care.
